It’s often assumed that Summer is the busiest season in the construction industry - however - we find that Fall/Winter are the craziest (and most enjoyable) time of year. Each and every Summer, we bid projects with architecture firms from all around New England in hopes that we will have a busy Fall. Sometimes we get very attached to a project and things don’t quite work out. Other times the project we want simply gets pushed back a bit. This Summer was different. We were awarded the projects that came our way, each and every one of them. We feel very lucky for this. Our clients are great and we couldn’t be happier that they trusted us to bring their homes to fruition. Two of our three clients aren’t local which brings its own set of challenges. It’s our job to ensure everyone feels in touch with the process and delicately balance the communication. Weekly photo journals, Google Hangouts (or Facetime if you’re an iphone user) and monthly site meetings (if the clients can make it) become incredibly important. We want every client, regardless of location, to feel connected.
The Fall line-up consists of a Modern Farmhouse in Falmouth, a spectacularly Scandinavian project on Higgin’s Beach in Scarborough with Caleb Johnson Studio and last but certainly not least - a piece of architecture in Windham that idolizes lakeside living and mountain views with Graceline Architecture out of Chicago, IL. Each of these projects is VERY different from one another so bringing them to life will be very exciting. Once significant progress is made, we’ll be updating the blog with pictures - bringing you along for the journey. Also, stay tuned for pictures of our completed projects from Summer 2018 - coming soon!
